ABOUT
Dutch-Argentinian soprano Ana-Carmen Balestra is celebrated for her clear, expressive voice and radiant stage presence. A graduate of the Guildhall Opera Course in London, Ana-Carmen has established herself as a notable talent in both opera and lieder. She made her recital debut at the Wigmore Hall in London after winning the Silver medal. During the 2024/25 season, she was a Young Artist at the National Opera Studio in London, where she performed with the English National Opera, Welsh National Opera, and Scottish Opera.
Ana-Carmen was selected as one of the four finalists of Dutch Classical Talent 2025, one of the most prestigious awards in the classical music world in the Netherlands. As part of this recognition, she embarked on her own recital tour, performing in 14 major theatres across the Netherlands. Ana-Carmen is nominated for the Grachtenfestival Prize 2026 and has been selected as an EFFEA Artist, through which she will tour in Bratislava and Hungary this summer. She is also a Alvarez Emerging Artist at Garsington where she is singing the first orphan in Der Rosenkavalier and covering Cecily in the Importance of being Earnest by Gerald Barry.
